Some stupid answers to some clever questions.......

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask us.......and we will try to use our 100+ years combined experience to answer them.......meanwhile here is a taster to get things started.....

Q. How do I know what capacity binder or file to use.....and why are the binder spines always larger than this capacity size?

A. Capacities do what they say on the box.....a 25mm capacity will take....wait for it......25mm of paper, 38mm will ake 38mm etc...........The spine capacities are always larger than this capacity as the cover has to 'fold' over the top of the mechanism.

Q. What is the use of the metal slots in the front covers of Lever Arch files ?

A. These are to keep the file cover stable when standing upright, and also act as a shelf space saving device as the mechanism top goes through the slots when the cover is closed.

Q. What is the difference between PVC and Paper on Board products ?

A. PVC products are normally considered to be of higher quality due to the wipe clean nature of the material, and the ability to have rounded corners on the covers (so no sharp edges). The covers are also 'welded' so the edges do not require metal shoes as associated with paper on board products. Some consider this to be a benefit as these metal shoes can scratch surfaces and even damage clothing etc.
